The AGV helmet that Valentino Rossi used in the 2008 Italian GP race in Mugello was destined to be a popular replica design from when it was unveiled. The imagery used on the helmet was inspired by Edvard Munch's painting 'The Scream', and was also described by Rossi himself as the expression on his face as he applies the brakes at the end of Mugello's extremely long start/finish straight.
